Who We Are

Kathryn Evans is the President of Rooted Strategy which she founded to provide support and encouragement to organizations that seek to create a more just and equitable world. She works at the intersection of social justice, systems change, and consciously shaping culture toward equity and liberation.

Kathryn’s professional track record includes:

Lindsay Harmon joined the Rooted Strategy team as a Project Consultant in 2020 and has worked in Kansas City’s nonprofit sector for nearly ten years. Lindsay has developed a strong understanding of nonprofit operations and finds great value in meeting organizations where they are, identifying barriers to success, and partnering with them to achieve their goals.

Lindsay’s track record includes:

  • Identifying data collection methods to better understand donors, clients, and stakeholders

  • Utilizing data for informed decision making

  • Improving and developing processes and procedures to create shared understanding across the organization, leading to greater efficiency

  • Providing governance, oversight, and strategic direction for nonprofit boards

Lindsay's strengths are her process-oriented approach and inquisitive lens in all areas of her work. While skilled in facilitation, her most distinctive quality is her quiet wisdom—offering thoughtful insights that guide teams effectively.
