Good Medicine
The Good Medicine series challenges the myth that medicine must come from a prescription or that it’s a “thing” that you buy to feel better. Instead, we're exploring the myriad ways healing can manifest when we approach it with intention and openness in our bodies and minds.
Our series delves into ancient practices - singing, movement, storytelling, writing, and gathering with others - that can bring not only healing, but clarity and connection. Participants will enter a nurturing environment that opens doors to new and powerful perspectives.
Good Medicine is designed, guided, and nurtured with love and intention by Kathryn Evans and Kristin Johnstad.

The January 12 workshop was an expansive practice of community song - simple songs sung in rounds, musical fugue, call and response, and layered harmonies. This workshop coincided with The 10th annual 24 Hour Album, a project by Kansas City singer/songwriter Danielle Ate the Sandwich.
Movement as Medicine
Listen to the Topic Talk from November 1, 2024.
The November 3 workshop offered tools for resilience and self-soothing through conscious movement; an invitation to mindfully walk in nature; and principles and practice of Don’t You Feel It Too?.
Writing as Medicine
Listen to the Topic Talk from October 11, 2024.
The October 13 workshop included stream-of-conscious writing practice; the practice of noticing and using writing to process the experience; journaling prompts; and, of course, a bit of Audre Lorde.
